Chipotle Lime Shrimp Tacos with Chipotle Lime Sauce

  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Lime wedges and additional cilantro for garnish (optional)


  • In a mixing bowl, combine the chipotle peppers, garlic, honey, cilantro, lime juice, lime zest, and salt. Stir well to combine.
  • Add the shrimp to the mixture and toss to coat. Allow the shrimp to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until they are pink and opaque.
  • Serve the shrimp hot, garnished with lime wedges and additional cilantro if desired.
