  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar For a sweet touch.
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt Optional for toppings.
  • 2 tablespoons chives For garnish.
  • 1/2 cup crumbled bacon Optional topping for added flavor.
  • 1 cup black beans Optional for Tex-Mex style.
  • 1/2 cup salsa Optional for Tex-Mex style.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Scrub the sweet potatoes thoroughly and do not peel.
  • Poke each potato several times with a fork to prevent exploding in the air fryer.
  • Rub a pinch of oil over each potato and sprinkle with salt.

Cooking

  • Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C).
  • Place the sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  • Cook for 20 minutes, then flip the sweet potatoes and continue cooking for an additional 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Check for doneness by poking with a fork; if they’re super soft, they’re done.

Serving

  • Remove the sweet potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool slightly.
  • Top with your desired toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

For even cooking, choose sweet potatoes that are similar in size. Do not wrap sweet potatoes in foil to keep the skin crispy.
