  • 1.25 pounds boneless skinless chicken (breasts or thighs), cut into 1 inch pieces Thighs are juicier while breasts cook faster.
  • 1.5 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt More to taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne or red pepper flakes Optional

  • buffalo sauce
  • honey garlic sauce
  • teriyaki sauce
  • barbecue sauce
  • lemon pepper butter

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cut the chicken into 1 inch pieces. Use boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs.
  • In a bowl, combine the chicken with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add cayenne if desired.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.

Cooking

  • Arrange the chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until lightly browned and with an internal temperature of 165°F.

Serving

  • Serve the chicken bites as-is or toss in a sauce of choice. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra tenderness, marinate the chicken in olive oil, lemon juice, and salt for 10 minutes if time allows. Store in a sealed container for up to 4 days; reheat in the air fryer.
