Ingredients
  

For the Chicken

  • 2 pieces boneless chicken breasts (cut in half for thinner cutlets)
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Breading and Cheese

  • 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 splash milk

Toppings and Sauce

  • 1 cup marinara sauce (jar is fine, no judgment)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Pat chicken dry, then season with salt, pepper, and a bit of garlic powder.
  • In a bowl, beat the egg with milk. In another bowl, mix breadcrumbs and Parmesan.
  • Dip the chicken in the egg mixture, then in the breadcrumb mix, patting gently so it sticks.

Cooking

  • Place the breaded chicken in the air fryer basket and spray with oil.
  • Cook at 370°F for 8-10 minutes, then flip and cook for another 5 minutes or until golden.
  • Spoon marinara sauce over the chicken and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
  • Air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
  • Serve immediately for the best crunch.

Notes

Consider swapping breadcrumbs for panko for extra crispiness. For gluten-free options, use GF breadcrumbs. You can add greens under the cheese for extra nutrition.
