Preparation

  • Slice each piece of bread into 3 to 4 sticks.

  • Dip each stick quickly into the batter, turning to coat all sides. Let excess batter drip off.

Cooking

  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  • Arrange the sticks in a single layer with a little space between them.
  • Air fry at 375°F for 6 to 8 minutes, flipping them halfway through.
  • Check for doneness at 6 minutes; cook longer if needed until golden and set.

Serving

  • Serve the sticks immediately for the best crispiness.

Notes

Keep cooked sticks warm in a low oven while you finish air frying the rest. Don't overcrowd the basket for the best results. You can customize with flavor upgrades like nutmeg or cocoa powder, and serve with various dipping options like maple syrup, yogurt, or fruit.
