Ingredients
  

Meatloaf Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef A mix of ground beef and ground pork is ideal.
  • 1 lb Ground pork Can substitute with turkey or chicken.
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Any kind of breadcrumbs will work.
  • 2 large Eggs Acts as a binder for the meatloaf.
  • 1/2 cup Milk Keeps the meatloaf tender.
  • 1 medium Onion, fresh Diced; vital for flavor.
  • 1 tsp Salt Essential seasoning.
  • 1 tsp Pepper Essential seasoning.
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder For added flavor.

Topping Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Ketchup For topping the meatloaf.
  • 1 tbsp Brown sugar Mix with ketchup for extra flavor.
  • optional Hot sauce Add for a spicy kick.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, diced onions, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Use your hands to mix until well combined.
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf shape, similar to a giant hamburger.
  • Carefully place the shaped meatloaf in the lined air fryer basket.

Cooking

  • Set the air fryer to 370°F and cook for about 20 minutes.
  • After 20 minutes, carefully remove the meatloaf and add the ketchup topping.
  • Return it to the air fryer and cook for an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Check the internal temperature; it should reach 160°F. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

Don't pack the meat too tightly. Wetting your hands will prevent sticking while shaping. Leftovers freeze well and are great reheated. Use a thermometer for accuracy.
