Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut off the ends of the plantains and make a slice along the skin to peel them.
  2. Slice the plantains into even pieces, about 1 inch thick.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil spray.
  3. Place the sliced plantains in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not crowded.
  4. Lightly spritz the tops of the plantains with oil spray.
  5. Cook for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and caramelized.

Notes

You can make these ahead of time and store them in the fridge. Reheat in the air fryer to regain their texture. Feel free to serve with rice, chicken, black beans, or enjoy straight out of the basket!
