  • 8 slices bacon Thin to medium thickness preferable.

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Optional.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat the chicken dry with paper towels to ensure seasonings stick.
  • Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika on both sides of the chicken.
  • Wrap each chicken piece with bacon, overlapping slightly and tucking the ends underneath.
  • Place the wrapped chicken seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with foil or parchment.

Cooking

  • Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • For thighs, bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • If the bacon isn’t browning by the end, broil for an additional 2 minutes, watching carefully to avoid burning.

Serving

  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing to keep it juicy.
  • Serve with your favorite sides such as mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, or a salad.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with fillings like cheese or sauces. You can prepare the chicken in advance and refrigerate it. Avoid using frozen chicken directly; thaw first.
