Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef (80/20 recommended) For optimal flavor.
  • 1 pack Slider buns (Hawaiian rolls or similar) Soft, sweet variety works best.
  • 8 slices American cheese Melts well; cheddar may be used.
  • 1 cup Pickles (dill pickle chips) Chopped if preferred.
  • 1/2 cup Onion, finely diced Optional; can be omitted if disliked.
  • 1 cup Shredded iceberg lettuce Classic choice, but romaine is acceptable.

Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Base of the sauce.
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup For sweetness.
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Adds tang.
  • 2 tbsp Sweet pickle relish Enhances the flavor.
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder Adds depth.
  • 1/4 tsp Paprika Optional spice.
  • 1 tbsp Pickle juice For extra tang, optional.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  • Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into small crumbles and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Slice the slider buns in half as one slab, keeping tops and bottoms attached. Place the bottom slab in a baking dish.
  • Spread a thin layer of sauce on the bottom buns.
  • Add the cooked beef in an even layer and gently press down.
  • Layer on the cheese slices, overlapping slightly for full coverage.
  • Add pickles and finely diced onion (if desired).
  • Place the top buns on and brush with melted butter, sprinkles sesame seeds if using.

Baking

  • Cover with foil and bake for about 10 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese melts and the tops are golden.
  • Remove from the oven, carefully lift top buns, and add shredded lettuce and a drizzle of additional sauce before placing the tops back on.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat covered in foil at 325°F for 10-12 minutes or air fry at 320°F. Add fresh lettuce and extra sauce after reheating.
