Filling

  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk For the filling.

Glaze

  • 1 cup cream cheese frosting Thinned with milk for drizzling.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions.
  • Prepare the cake mix as directed, adding cinnamon and brown sugar.
  • Pour the batter into a baking dish and bake according to package instructions.

Creating the Cinnamon Swirl

  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  • Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the batter and swirl gently with a knife.

Poking and Filling

  • Let the cake cool for about 10 to 15 minutes then poke holes in the cake using the handle of a wooden spoon.
  • Pour the sweetened condensed milk slowly over the poked holes to fill them.

Chilling

  • Cover and chill the cake in the fridge for at least 1 to 2 hours before frosting.

Finishing Touches

  • Prepare the glaze by thinning cream cheese frosting with milk.
  • Spread the glaze over the chilled cake, then top with chopped pecans if desired.

Notes

For variety, try adding apple pie filling or using pumpkin puree instead of part of the liquid. Always chill before serving for cleaner slices.
