  • 1 bag Nacho cheese Doritos Choose big, sturdy chips.
  • 8 oz Cream cheese Softened, not whipped.
  • 4 slices Bacon Cooked until crisp and chopped.
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese Cheddar or a blend.
  • 2 tbsp Green onions or chives Optional but recommended.
  • 1 pinch Garlic powder
  • 1 pinch Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Sour cream or mayo Optional for creaminess.

Preparation

  • Cook the bacon until crisp, then drain and chop. Let it cool.
  • In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese with shredded cheese, bacon, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir in green onions if using. If the mix feels too thick, add a spoon of sour cream.
  • Pick larger Doritos from the bag. Gently make a small slit along one side of each chip using a butter knife tip.
  • Spoon or pipe the filling into the chip using a zip top bag with the corner snipped off.
  • Place them on a tray in a single layer. Serve immediately for the best crunch.

Notes

Serve within 20 to 30 minutes of stuffing for optimal crunch. Store unused filling in the fridge.
