Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 medium cucumber, sliced thin Waxy cucumbers can be scrubbed or peeled.
  • 10-15 leaves fresh mint Gently slap mint leaves to release flavor.
  • 6-8 cups cold water Use cold water from the start for faster chilling.
  • optional ice For serving.
  • to taste lemon or lime slices Optional add-ins that enhance flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash the cucumber and mint. If the cucumber is waxy, scrub it well. Peeling is optional.
  • Slice the cucumber into thin slices for better flavor infusion.
  • Gently slap the mint leaves between your hands to release their scent and flavor.

Infusion

  • Add the cucumber slices and mint leaves to a pitcher.
  • Pour in the cold water.
  • Chill in the fridge for at least 1 to 2 hours, or up to 4 to 8 hours for a stronger flavor.

Serving

  • Serve over ice if desired.

Notes

Drink within 24 hours for the best taste. If refilling, swap in fresh cucumber and mint daily. Store covered in the fridge to maintain flavor.
