  • 1 cup Green candy melts or icing For the tops of the carrots.
  • 1/2 cup Crushed chocolate cookies Optional, for a dirt style base.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Rinse the strawberries and dry them thoroughly, ensuring they are free from moisture.
  • Melt the orange candy coating according to package instructions in the microwave, stirring frequently.
  • Hold the strawberry by the leafy top and dip it into the melted orange coating, twisting as you lift to achieve a smooth finish.
  • Using a toothpick or drizzle with a darker orange, create optional carrot lines on the coating.
  • For the green tops, pipe or drizzle green melts at the top of the strawberry or dip the leafy part into green melts.
  • Place the dipped strawberries on parchment paper and let them set at room temperature or in the fridge for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Notes

These strawberries are best served the day of preparation but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent melting. It's best to serve them slightly cool to maintain the snappy coating.
