  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed Make sure it's flexible, not sticky.
  • 8-12 ounces brie cheese Keep it cold until ready to wrap.
  • 1/2 cup cranberries, dried or fresh Use a thin layer to prevent sogginess.
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, toasted Toast and cool them before adding.
  • 1 egg for egg wash To seal the pastry.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Thaw the puff pastry according to package instructions until it's flexible.
  • Place the brie in the center of the puff pastry.
  • Top the brie with cranberries and toasted walnuts.
  • Wrap the puff pastry around the brie, sealing the edges securely.
  • Brush the sealed pastry with egg wash.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the pastry is deeply golden brown.
  • Once finished, let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve with assorted crackers, sliced bread, fresh fruit, or a charcuterie selection. This dish can be made ahead and stored in the fridge before baking, or components can be prepped earlier in the day for convenience.
