  • 1 cup unsalted butter, chopped Melted
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped For melting with butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs Room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup gluten-free flour blend 1-to-1 blend preferred
  • 1/2 cup Dutch-processed cocoa powder Sifted
  • 1/4 tsp salt Add a pinch on top before baking for flavor
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Optional, for extra chocolatey goodness

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, melt the butter and dark chocolate together until smooth.
  • Let it cool slightly, then whisk in sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.
  • Carefully fold in the gluten-free flour blend, cocoa powder, and salt until no dry ingredients remain.
  • Add chocolate chips if desired and mix gently.
  • Spread the thick batter into a lined 9x9-inch baking pan, leveling it out.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, until edges are set but the center is slightly underbaked.
  • Allow to cool almost completely before slicing into squares.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days at room temperature, or refrigerate for up to a week for an even denser texture. Freeze for up to 2 months for longer storage. Microwaving briefly will revive their gooeyness.
