Ingredients
  

For the Garlic Butter

  • 6 tablespoons butter, softened Softened butter for easy spreading
  • 3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced Or 1 to 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley Optional but adds freshness
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons grated parmesan Optional, but recommended
  • 1 pinch salt Skip if butter is very salty

For the Rolls

  • 1 package Hawaiian rolls (12 count) The main ingredient, keep them connected

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking dish or sheet pan lined with foil for easy cleanup.
  • Without separating the rolls, slice the whole slab in half horizontally.
  • Place the bottom half in your baking pan.

Make Garlic Butter

  • In a small bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, grated parmesan, and a pinch of salt. Optionally, add a tiny splash of olive oil for extra garlic flavor.
  • Spread about one third of the garlic butter on the cut side of the bottom half of the rolls.

Assembly and Baking

  • Place the top half of the rolls back on.
  • Spread the remaining garlic butter all over the top, ensuring to get into the little dips between rolls.
  • Cover loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
  • Uncover and bake for an additional 5 to 8 minutes until the tops are lightly golden. For a deeper toast, bake 1 to 2 minutes longer while keeping a close eye.

Notes

These rolls can be frozen before or after baking. For freezing before, wrap tightly in plastic wrap and then foil. Bake from frozen at 350°F, covered for about 20 minutes, then uncover for 8 to 10 minutes. For freezing after, let cool completely before wrapping.
