  • 1 lb Shrimp, peeled and deveined Tails on or off both work
  • 1/4 cup Honey Adjust for sweetness preference
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh minced is best
  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce Use tamari for gluten-free
  • 1 tbsp Ketchup or chili sauce (optional) Helps round out the sauce
  • spray Neutral oil spray Or brush oil for the basket
  • to taste Salt and pepper Go light on salt due to soy sauce
  • optional Green onions or sesame seeds for topping For garnish

Preparation

  • Thaw and dry the shrimp if using frozen.
  • In a bowl, stir together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and optional ketchup or chili sauce. Season lightly with pepper.
  • Add shrimp to the bowl and toss until coated. Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes if possible.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer and lightly spray the basket with oil.
  • Place shrimp in a single layer and cook at 380°F for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through.
  • Optionally, warm the leftover sauce and toss the shrimp in it right before serving.

Notes

Stir-fry sauces can be adjusted with spices or acidity like vinegar for a different flavor. Serve with rice, noodles, or vegetables.
