Base Ingredients

  • 15 pieces Ice cream sandwiches About 12 to 15, depending on your pan
  • 1 tub Whipped topping Or homemade whipped cream

Toppings

  • 1 cup Chocolate fudge sauce Store bought is fine
  • 1 cup Crushed chocolate sandwich cookies or mini chocolate chips Optional: for extra crunch and flavor
  • to taste Caramel sauce, sprinkles, chopped nuts, peanut butter chips Optional toppings to dress it up

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Grab your pan and lay down a single layer of ice cream sandwiches. You may need to cut a few to fill gaps.
  • Spread a layer of whipped topping over the sandwiches.
  • Drizzle chocolate fudge sauce over the whipped layer.
  • Sprinkle crushed cookies or chocolate chips on top.
  • Repeat the layers if you have room: sandwiches, whipped topping, fudge, crunch.
  • Cover and freeze for at least 4 hours, but overnight is even better.
  • Let it sit on the counter for about 5 minutes before slicing for easier cuts.

Notes

For lighter versions, use light whipped topping and smaller sandwiches. If transporting, wrap well and use a cooler.
