Preparation
- Rinse the brown rice under cold water to remove excess starch.
- Add the rinsed brown rice and cold tap water to the Instant Pot.
- Add a pinch of salt, if desired, and stir the mixture.
Cooking
- Seal the Instant Pot lid and select the pressure cook button.
- Set the cooking time for 22-24 minutes.
- After cooking, let it sit for an additional 10 minutes before opening the lid.
- Fluff the rice with a fork.
Notes
Let the rice cool slightly in the pot before serving. For best texture, fluff with a fork instead of a spoon. If the rice seems moist when the pot is opened, let it sit uncovered for a few more minutes.
