A gooey, soft, and easy-to-make monkey bread prepared in an Instant Pot, drizzled with homemade powdered sugar icing.

Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients
  • 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough Regular, not flaky.
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter Cold, cut in cubes.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
Icing Ingredients
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tablespoons milk Adjust for desired consistency.
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare the Instant Pot by using a trivet with handles.
  2. Cut the biscuit dough into quarters.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine granulated sugar, cinnamon, and cold butter cubes.
  4. Toss the dough pieces in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until coated.
Cooking
  1. Layer the coated dough balls in the greased Bundt pan.
  2. Combine the brown sugar with any remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture, and sprinkle over the dough in the Bundt pan.
  3. Add 1 cup of water to the Instant Pot and place the Bundt pan on the trivet.
  4. Seal the Instant Pot and cook on high pressure for 30 minutes.
  5. Once done, allow a natural release for 10 minutes before performing a quick release.
  6. Carefully remove the Bundt pan and allow to cool for about 10 minutes.
Icing
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Drizzle the icing over the monkey bread before serving.

Notes

Best served warm. Add toasted pecans for extra flavor. Use parchment paper to help with cleanup.
