Ingredients
  

For the Pork Chops

  • 4 pieces pork chops (about 1 inch thick) Bone-in or boneless
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil To help retain moisture

For the Seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper Optional for a spicy kick
  • 1 teaspoon dijon mustard Optional, for added flavor

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels.
  • Rub olive oil over the pork chops.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, brown sugar, salt, and pepper.
  • Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the pork chops.

Baking

  • Place the seasoned pork chops on a lined baking pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 17-20 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  • Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes before slicing.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 4 days. To reheat, do so gently to avoid drying out the meat. Excellent for salads or wraps.
