  • 1 lb Ground beef Season well for flavor
  • 4 cups Romaine or iceberg lettuce Chopped and kept cold
  • 1 cup Dill pickles Chopped
  • 1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese Or chopped American style slices
  • 1/4 cup Onion Chopped, to taste
  • 1 tbsp Sesame seeds Optional for the Big Mac flavor

Big Mac Style Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Base for the sauce
  • 1 tbsp Yellow mustard
  • 1/4 cup Chopped dill pickles Or sugar-free relish
  • 1/2 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika For warmth
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • pinch Keto friendly sweetener Optional, to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, seasoning with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • While the beef is cooking, prepare the sauce by mixing mayonnaise, mustard, chopped dill pickles, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and sweetener in a bowl. Adjust to taste.
  • Chop the lettuce and place it in the refrigerator to keep it cool and crisp until ready to serve.

Assembly

  • In a large salad bowl, layer the cooled lettuce.
  • Top with seasoned ground beef, chopped pickles, cheese, and onions.
  • Drizzle sauce over the top, tossing gently to combine. Serve with extra sauce on the side if desired.

Notes

Keep the beef, sauce, and lettuce separate until ready to eat to prevent sogginess. For meal prep, freeze cooked beef and mix the sauce ahead, adding lettuce when ready to serve.
