  • 1 cup cheese (your choice) Added at the end of cooking.
  • 1 cup guacamole Homemade or store-bought.

  • 1/4 cup chopped onion For added flavor.
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro Fresh herb for flavor.
  • 1 pinch salt To taste.

Jalapeño Aioli Ingredients (optional)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Base for the aioli.
  • 1 tbsp lime juice Fresh for flavor.
  • 1 clove garlic Minced.
  • 1 tbsp chopped jalapeño Fresh or jarred for heat.

Method

Bacon and Burger Preparation
  1. Cook the bacon in a nonstick pan over medium heat until crispy.
  2. While the bacon cooks, form ground beef into thick patties, season with salt and pepper.
  3. Grill or cook the burger patties for a couple of minutes on each side, flipping once.
  4. Add cheese on top of the patty during the last minute of cooking.
Assembly
  1. Use two big leaves of lettuce to wrap each burger.
  2. Layer with the burger patty, bacon, and a dollop of guacamole.
Optional Aioli Preparation
  1. To make the jalapeño aioli, mix mayonnaise, lime juice, garlic, and chopped jalapeño in a bowl.
  2. Spread a generous amount on the lettuce before wrapping the burger.

Notes

For best results, let the burger patties rest for a minute before wrapping. You can use wide leaves of lettuce to prevent spills, and don't hesitate to double layer for a sturdier wrap.
