Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 family size package family size package of Oreos regular, not double stuffed for clean layers
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream very cold
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar more or less to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Toppings

  • crushed Oreos
  • mini chocolate chips
  • chocolate sauce
  • a pinch of salt

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a large bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until you get stiff peaks. Set it aside.
  • In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla, and mix again until creamy.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture, being careful not to deflate it.

Assembly

  • In a 9x13 dish, spread a thin layer of the cream mixture on the bottom.
  • Add a single layer of Oreos, breaking some to fit gaps.
  • Spread more cream mixture on top, and repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with the cream layer on top.

Chilling

  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, ideally overnight, to allow the Oreos to soften.

Serving

  • Before serving, sprinkle crushed Oreos over the top and drizzle with chocolate sauce or add mini chocolate chips if desired.

Notes

For a lighter texture, use only whipped cream instead of cream cheese. Adjust chilling time and toppings as per your preference.
