  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined Fresh or thawed frozen shrimp
  • 2 cups bell peppers, sliced Colors can vary based on preference or availability
  • 2 tablespoons oil Use any cooking oil; coconut oil is a good alternative
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced Adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Smoked paprika can enhance flavor
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper Adjust for spice preference
  • 1 lemon lemon, juiced Squeeze fresh lemon juice before serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the shrimp to the pan. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until they start to turn pink.
  3. Add the sliced bell peppers, garlic, paprika, and crushed red pepper.
  4. Continue cooking for an additional 5-8 minutes until the shrimp are fully cooked and the peppers are tender.
  5. Remove from heat and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the dish before serving.

Notes

Shrimp cooks quickly; keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking. Customize the heat level by adjusting the crushed red pepper or adding jalapeƱos. Leftovers can be used in rice or served with crusty bread.
