Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries Can substitute with frozen cranberries, just add a couple extra minutes to cook time.
  • 1 cup sugar Adjust to taste; start with less to avoid too sweet.
  • 1 cup water For cooking the cranberries.
  • 1 zest orange Optional for added flavor; can peel and chop if a zester is not available.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Add fresh cranberries, sugar, water, and orange zest into the Instant Pot.
  • Close the lid securely and set the Instant Pot on high pressure for 10 minutes.

Finishing Up

  • Once the cooking time is up, carefully release the pressure by turning the valve on the lid.
  • After the pressure is completely released, open the lid slowly.
  • If you want a thicker sauce, mash the cranberries with a wooden spoon.
  • Let the sauce cool for a few hours for the flavors to blend together.

Notes

Store the cranberry sauce in a container with a tight lid in the fridge for up to a week. It tastes better as it sits, letting the flavors meld.
