  • 4 oz smoked salmon Use high-quality smoked salmon for best flavor.
  • 8 oz cream cheese Use full-fat cream cheese for richer taste.
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice Adds brightness to the flavors.
  • ½ cup fresh dill or chives Use fresh herbs for better flavor, chives can be substituted.
  • 1 large low carb tortilla or nori Choose your favorite wrap.
Optional Additions
  • ½ cup sliced cucumber For added crunch and freshness.
  • ¼ cup sliced red onion Optional, use sparingly to avoid overstuffing.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Soften the cream cheese by microwaving it briefly if it's too cold.
  2. Spread the cream cheese evenly over the low carb tortilla or nori.
  3. Layer the smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese.
  4. Add a sprinkle of fresh dill or chives, and optionally sliced cucumbers or red onions.
  5. Roll the tortilla tightly, making sure the filling is secure.
  6. Chill the roll in the fridge for about 30 minutes to make slicing easier.
Slicing and Serving
  1. Using a sharp knife, slice the rolled tortilla into pinwheels.
  2. Arrange on a platter and serve immediately or store in the fridge until serving.

Notes

Best served fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Wrap tightly in plastic wrap. Do not freeze.
