Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Toast the bread if you want extra structure.
  • Mash the avocado in a bowl with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lemon or lime.
  • Spread mayo on one slice of bread and avocado mash on the other.
  • Layer lettuce down first, then turkey, then tomatoes.
  • Add the top slice of bread and press gently to hold together.
  • Sprinkle a tiny bit of salt on the tomato slices for extra flavor.

Notes

Best served fresh but can be stored with precautions. Keep avocado separate if possible, and use a barrier between wet ingredients and bread to prevent sogginess.
