The Secret To Making The Best Pioneer Woman Banana Nut Muffins

Is to use ripe bananas. Ripe bananas have a sweet and mellow flavor, and they also produce a lot of natural sugar so the muffins will be sweet and delicious. You’ll also need some chopped walnuts, which add a nice crunchy texture to the muffins. Finally, be sure to use whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour for added fiber and nutrients. With these tips, you’ll make the best Pioneer Woman banana nut muffins ever!

How long do freshly cooked muffins keep at room temperature?

If you want to eat your Pioneer Woman banana nut muffins right away, they’ll be ready in about 20 minutes. However, if you’d like to save them for later, they’ll keep them at room temperature for about 2 hours. Just be sure to wrap them tightly in plastic wrap or place them in a covered container so they don’t get stale.

INGREDIENTS

Toss your mashed ripe bananas with these pantry staples and your chopped walnuts. You’ll have wonderful muffins for breakfast ready to enjoy in no time!

Sugar – granulated white sugar (Keep the vanilla pods used in your sugar for more flavor!).
Butter – salted butter, softened at room temperature.
Bananas – bananas that are golden brown and overripe for sweetness.
Eggs – large eggs, preferably at room temperature as well (or warmed in a glass of lukewarm water).
Milk – I usually use whole milk, 2% would be better than 1% milk or skim milk.
Vanilla Extract – I always use vanilla extract in banana-based pastries (muffins, bread, cakes) to enhance the overall flavor.
Baking soda – helps your banana muffins rise during baking.
Salt – enhances the flavor of your banana muffins, however, since I use salted butter, you can add less salt (just a pinch) if desired.
Flour – all-purpose flour increases the bulk of muffins, and forms the basis of bread.
Chopped Walnuts – Here I use chopped walnuts and also you can add some dark chocolate chips that are all equally tasty!
